We knew that Courtney's spirit is with us. I felt her presence constantly. But one thing happened the really has convinced me. One of Courtney's friends, Laura, brought a bouquet of beautiful lavender roses, closed tightly in little buds.
Later that night, Alexis and I were talking when suddenly we stopped and looked over at the roses. Right before our eyes, one of the buds opened to a full rose. We were stunned! I suddenly felt calm and warm, like Courtney's arms were wrapped around me.

Who I am and What I Believe

I consider each person's belief system as something highly personal and individual. I call myself an "Eclectic Spiritualist Pagan", and my Magickal names come from any different traditions and pantheons. They seem to work well together and provide me with a nice balance.

I am a student of comparative religions, of all religions, current and past, and new ones just beginning.

I try to learn about the history and culture and beauty of each one. As I learn new things, I borrow teachings that speak to me and incorportate them into my own personal practice. I believe this is what true religion should be, each person having a personal relationship with his or her high power/creator/God/Goddess in that way that fits their life and needs.

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your path doesn't mean they've gotten lost.

My name is Cindi, and my birthname, Cynthia, means hunter (the archer) of the moon. My planets are the Moon and Jupiter. My astrological sign is Sagittarius and the symbol is the centurion; half man/half horse, the archer. Jupiter is the planet of Sagittarius.

My magic number is 3. My element is water. My power stones and crystals are moonstone and turquoise, my metal is silver. My symbols are the moon and three stars, pyramids, angels, whales, a white horse, and Kokopelli.

Epona is for the Goddess Epona; the Goddess of fertility, freedom, and creativity. He symbol is that of the white horse and means energy, fertility and power.
Bri is Celtic for Strength and for the Celtic Faerie Queen.
Saoirse (Pronounced: SEER-sha) is Celtic for Freedom.
Malaika-Noor (Pronunced: mah lah EE kah) is Arabic for Angel and Noor is Light.
Rhiannon for the Welsh Goddess.
Raven who is my primary totem and a Native American symbol.
Chita and Kini is my name in Japanese and in Hawaiian.
Tyrsdottir for Nordic God Tyr
Astra-Peace which is my soul name meaning universal love and peace.

I believe in a God and a Goddess, who appear in various forms, as I believe it takes both male and female energy to create everything.

I believe in both creationism and evolution.

I believe in angels, saints, and Goddesses, believing that all are the messengers of The Creators.
I honor several Goddesses (Epona, Diana, Hestia, Rhiannon, Isis, Kali, Nyx, Gaia, Luna, Hecate, Lillith, and Kwan Yin), several Gods (Anubis, Odin, Proteus, The Horned God, Tyr, Hermes, Mercury, Thoth, Achilles, Thanatos, Jupiter, Mithra, Triton), and several Catholic saints (Saint Christopher, Saint Margaret, Saint Katherine, Saint Jerome), and I am a member of the Order of Mary Magdalene.

I believe in an afterlife, in heaven, in what the Pagans call Summerland (or the Summerlands), and what I still call Heaven.

I believe in spirit guides and animal totems and that they can take the form of departed friends and family members, animals, angels, saints, teachers, and ascended masters.

I believe that all human beings go on to the next life in one form or another, although some stay on the otherside and become Guardian Angels, Guides and Teachers.

Some become part of the Hierarchy of Angels (God's messengers). Some live a new life in heaven and become enlightened and go on to another level and purpose. Others choose to be reincarnated back to this life; perhaps they have some unfinished business here on earth or need to make amends for bad decisions or choices they made in their first life. I believe that angels can also incarnate in physical form as human beings, and are called Incarnated Angels.

I believe in an afterlife, in past lives, in reincarnation and parallel lives as well as lifetimes in other dimensions. I would hate to think that this life is our one and only. What purpose would it serve to learn lessons to not get a chance to live with that new knowledge in a new life, a second chance, perhaps a third or more?

I do not believe in the concepts of evil, hell, demons, or satan. I believe that everyone is responsible for their own actions, not an "embodied entity" to blame them on. And when people do bad or so-called "evil" things, they are making bad choices, had bad role models, or broken in body and mind.

I believe in magick and the power of prayer, and that witchcraft spells and rituals are just basically prayer with props.

I believe in the laws of karma or "cause and effect.". In other words, "What goes around comes around."

I believe in the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have then do unto you."

I believe in the Wiccan Rede, "An it harm none, do as ye will."

I do not believe that Jesus is my savior, but a gifted teacher and prophet just as Zoroaster, Krishna, Gandhi, Buddha, Mother Theresa, Amma-Chi, Moses, The Dalai Lama, Abraham, Miriam, Muhammad, Joseph Smith, Blavatsky, Edgar Cayce, Merlin, Zecharia Sitchin, Pope John Paul ll, and other great and spiritual people are.

I believe that faith was created by God and the Goddess, but religion was created by man. I don't believe that any one religion is any better than any other one. They all have their purposes and fulfill personal needs. I believe that all paths lead to the same destination, to a Higher Power and to Enlightenment.

I do not believe that the Bible is the word of God or written by the hand of God, anymore than the Qu'an or the Torah are, but all are inspirational books that are written by human beings based on their own experiences, needs and opinions.

I believe in miracles and magick. I believe in respect of Mother Nature (The Goddess), and in reverence of spirit and faith (God).

I believe in honoring the elements of (the four elements in Celtic faith or the five elements in Oriental beliefs); earth, wind, water, fire, and spirit. I honor the moon, the sun, and the stars.

I believe in angels, aliens, faeries, vampires, and other so-called mystical beings and creatures. I believe in the use of candles (fire), crystals (earth), fountains and ponds (water), windchimes (wind), and prayer, spells, labyrinths, meditation, and divination (spirit). I believe in rituals; communion, candle lightings and candle meditations, blessings, prayers, spells, vision quests, chanting, smudging, spirit guides.... (Christian, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Native American, Celtic, Pagan, Buddhist all share in some forms of these rituals). I practice and am still learning about aromatherapy, herbs, crystals, runes, chakras, and tarot. My religion, my belief system, my faith is still evolving, as I learn more about the past, the future, the present, and myself.

I am a starseed, a lightworker, an Indigo-Crystal Child, a Triple Walk In, and an Intuitive Empath.

I don't expect you to believe as I do, but I do expect you to respect my beliefs just as I will respect yours.

Our Home

This is our home, located in Diamond Point, just east of the town of Sequim....
Custom designed (by me and my husband) home on double lot with water of Discovery Bay, and Protection Island, as well as mountain views of Mt Baker to the north! A spacious vaulted great room has a slate fireplace, natural driftwood mantle, natural red oak flooring and huge sliders to medium size outside deck.

The kitchen is cook's dream with a black and white checkerboard vinyl flooring, black and white checkerboard ceramic tile backsplash, black granite laminate counters, walk-in pantry, red oak cabinets, black kitchen sink with a view of the entire yard, black dishwasher, island with black ceramic cook-top, and bumpout breakfast nook with windows on three sides.

The kitchen opens to the great room on one side and though a door to the formal dining room and living room, both with extra large windows to take in the great views and bring in tons of natural light. The dining room has the red oak floors and the living room as a silvery gray wall to wall carpeting and vaulted ceiling. The living room is directly across the large entry hall the oak front door and two side light windows.

From the entry you can open French doors to office/den on one side, and laundry room complete with washer and dryer on the other. Go down the long hallway which is perfect for a gallery of our family photos, favorite artwork or shelves of collectibles, such as my doll collection. Half way down the hallway is the main bathroom with a walk in shower that includes of relaxing rainshower shower head.

Further down the hallway, is a second bedroom, which works great as a craft room for me. At the end of the hall, a 10 light glass door opens to a unique indoor koi pond complete with 13 full size fish including koi. The pond was designed and built by Tim. Above the pond is a custom painted 20 foot high mural of a mountain and the critters that inhabit it. The river from the mural appears to be coming out of the wall directly into the pond and over a small waterfall. High ceilings and large skylights give the illusion of being outside while still in the house.

Back to the living room and just around the corner is the master suite that includes wide sliders that open to a decked balcony. Perfect for my morning cup of tea while I watch the neighborhood deer graze, see the first newborn baby fawn, an eagle soaring overhead, or a line a quail toddling away.
Enter the door across from the deck and you enter my dream bathroom, which is larger than most bedrooms. Double sink vanity in white cabinets and countertops using colors inspired by a conch shell of pearl, light pink and sand gray. The floors are a silvery gray porcelain tile floor. There is a separate walk in shower in one corner and soaking garden tub under two windows which gives you a view of a show the birds give while flying from tree to tree. Sometimes a Blue Jay will call to you from one branch. Shelves along one wall takes care of our bathroom storage needs for towels; shower supplies and shampoo are in baskets. Another door takes you into a huge walk in clothes closet.

Back out the entryway and up the stairs to a quiet private loft "crows" nest, complete large sliders that open up to a covered deck. A 10 light glass door closes off the room which allows us to use it as guest room. This room is perfect for watching the large ships traveling the shipping channels of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, watching the birds, resting in the warm sunshine, listening to the birds sing to one another. We also use this room as a meditation room, both inside and sitting outside on the deck in the morning sun or under the nighttime stars.

In the basement, there is a partially finished room perfect for entertaining that also includes a finished bedroom, and bathroom. The daylight basement opens up to the yard by standard size slider doors. The large two lot yard gives you many possibilities of recreational activities; an enclosed garden, outside pond and waterfall, swimming pool, boxwood garden maze, family games such as volleyball, badminton or croquet. The driveway and garage are up and around the back of the house which allows you to literally drive right up to your front door and avoiding to have carry groceries up and down any stairs.

Wind storms coming off the Strait of Juan de Fuca that make us feel like we are living in a tree house. Listening to the fog horns later a night lets me imagine being back in nautical movie. The views of the water of Discovery Bay peaking between Blue Spruce and other evergreen trees as well as red-barked Madrona trees offer of gifts of double rainbows over the bay on the few days that we get rain and then are rewarded when the sunshine comes out late in the afternoon. The summer sunrises are so gorgeous it makes it worthwhile to get up early to see them. The quietness of the area allows us to actually hear and identify the many different bird families. We have no mosquitoes in the area due to a small group of tiny brown bats who fly around at dusk.

Our home is within walking distance to the private community beach, where the highlight of the year is the neighborhood 4th of July Parade, where anything goes, and usually does. There is always a pot luck picnic at the beach after the parade. Then we watch the fireworks from the loft deck seeing both the local ones from your neighbors down on the beach as well as the others from Whidbey Island.

The community beach has a large grassy area, sand beach with a variety of rocks, shells and driftwood, a boat loading area and a community beach house for picnics and barbecues. Diamond Point is a very quiet, laid back but friendly place to live.
